We did an informal survey regarding what the Rizzles Girls's community would like to see in Season Two. [By "informal survey", we mean Liv asked the question on Twitter and went with it. ;-)] We had some very interesting returns on the question, and we wanted to share them and add some thoughts.
Besides the obvious, which, in case you've just wandered here from elsewhere, is that we'd all love to see our favorite detective move into a romantic relationship with our favorite medical examiner, we had someone mention they would love to see a flashback scene showing the doctors and such saving Jane at the hospital.
We find this to be a very interesting thought, and we think it's a scene that many take for granted
will actually happen. We're not so sure about that given the spoilers we've heard about season two so far. However, seeing how Jane's family, friends, and coworkers react to the situation of Jane being shot is, we think, an excellent way to see character growth. We give this a thumbs up. We'd love to see something like this. How would Korsak react? After all, this isn't the first time he's seen Jane severely injured. How does Frost rise to the occasion of his partner being wounded? What's going on with the Rizzoli family with two out of three children down for the count? How's Maura dealing with the aftermath?
We had someone say they'd love to see Jane and Maura interact with children. We did see this
very briefly in
"She Works Hard for the Money". The first scene has Maura giving a tour to a group of girls who are rather uninterested in being there. Jane's reaction to dealing with the girls before they arrive is funny but negative. Maura then ditches the girls in favor of going off with Jane to a crime scene. Given how that interaction turned out, seeing how the two of them would have to deal with or how they would interact with children due to, let's say, a case is very interesting to us. We see both comic relief and
loads of potential subtext with something like that.
More Bass and Joe! There's been an outcry for it. We have to agree. Those two are cute. Maybe we could see Jane insist on making Bass wear a little Sox helmet? Who wouldn't want to see that?

Some of us would like for Frankie to be given a break. We think he deserves a boyfriend or at
least a date that's not trying to kill him and can cook. We would love to see this as well because giving Frankie a girlfriend would be a great opportunity to see more interactions with Frankie, and we'd like to get to know him better.
We don't really know much about Frankie except he's Jane's younger brother and a cop. We also know he's worried their Mother is going to leave their father, and he wants to be a detective like his big sister one day. But, can anyone tell us what Frankie's favorite beer is? No? That's because we've never seen him hang out with Jane except to break her nose, or talk about their parents. We'd like to see more than that with him.
One of the really big things we find a lot of people would like to see is more background on Maura Isles. We get fed bits and pieces, and we're hungry for more than that. Who is the socially awkward genius besides Jane's "best friend" and Boston's Chief Medical Examiner? What makes Maura tick? The show is called "Rizzoli
& Isles". We want to know about Isles just as much as we know about Rizzoli.
Who are Maura's parents? Where are they now? Are they even living? Exactly
how rich is Maura? What does she do on her down time? Who is she attracted to? What really scares Maura? Who is Maura's boogieman?
