Maura's Personal Life

TVFanatic.com has a quick little something from Sasha Alexander about the up coming season. Here's an interesting excerpt:

Citing "family drama" as a major theme for the season ahead, the star previewed the appearance of Jane's younger brother, played by Colin Egglesfield.

"He forms an interesting bond with Maura," Alexander teased, adding: "We also meet Maura's mom (Jacqueline Bisset), her adoptive mom. And we learn a lot about her upbringing... there's a lot of mother/daughter bonding. Her hitman father also comes back for some trouble."

There's a few more things there, so go check it out!

New Game

The official Rizzoli & Isles website has a new game up. It's fun! Go give a try.

In Case You Missed It **Spoilers**

According to TVFanatic.com:

An old friend of Detective Rizzoli will be stopping by TNT this summer.

Former 24 star Annie Wersching has booked a gig on Rizzoli & Isles, where she'll come on board an episode as Nicole Mateo, a pal of Angie Harmon's character from her days in the Drug Control Unit unit.

Ang and Sash on Season 2

Over at Examiner.com there's a great article with Angie Harmon and Sasha Alexander talking about season 2. There are some fun tidbits about what's to come. For example:

The three months since the events of the first season finale may not have been entirely good to Jane, but Maura seems to be thriving. She is multi-tasking more now, not throwing everything into her work but also taking time for herself and her love life, as well. And miraculously, that allows her to be a bit lighter, a bit looser, and a lot less neurotic!

Interesting... we're very excited to see where this all goes! Go check out the rest of the article and then come back and tell us what you think.

Shane Saunders (@ShaneSSaunders) had a great spoiler on his site today.

Oh, Look -> Presents! DVD Give Away

Looks like TNT is getting us ready for season 2 in style. The official twitter feed for R&I (@rizzoliandislesTNT) has announced they'll be giving these bad boys away on Monday. Details are on their way, but what a fun thing to happen just before the premier!

Keep your eyes peeled for the announcement, ladies. If you haven't gotten your subtext fix yet, here's a great chance to grab some! Who's ready?

New Video - Consultants

video

From R&I's Facebook page:

We couldn't shoot the scenes in Rizzoli and Isles without a little help from the experts. Go inside shooting a C-Section scene with Sasha and an actual nurse and watch as Detective Russ Grant walks the cast & crew through the crime scenes to ensure the shots are true to life. It takes a lot more coordination than you think! An all new season of Rizzoli and Isles returns July 11 10/9c on TNT!
This scene looks intense, doesn't it? We can't wait to watch it!

Photo Challenge! Are you in?

Season 2 is fast approaching us, and, with it, comes a need. No, not that need (but, yes, that need, too). The need we're referring to, of course, is the need to see our ladies' bright, shining faces as wallpapers and screensavers to get us ready for the Main Event on July 11th.

We thought, perhaps, you ladies might pull out your creative sticks and come up with such a thing. In fact, we challenge you!

We challenge you to come up with a wallpaper that will show our ladies at their finest along with what you would like to see happen in Season 2.

Ground Rules:

- No Nudity (sorry, folks, let's keep this out of the X rated section)
- It must have both Jane and Maura (or Angie and Sasha) somewhere
- There must but at least one thing in the picture that demonstrates what you would like to see happen in season two. It doesn't have to be a photo manipulation of the ladies doing whatever it is, but there should be a representation of that idea somewhere.
- This must be a new photo manipulation/wallpaper/screensaver. If you've posted elsewhere before, please don't submit it here.
- You must post the photo somewhere all can see it without having to signup for an account.
- A link to the posted photo must be in the reply to this blog entry.
- All blog entries should be entered by Tuesday, June 28th.

Have fun, be creative, and let's see what we can come up with!

New Banner

We're liking the new banner for the Rizzoli & Isles homepage on TNT's site. What do you ladies think?

Mud Baths!

TNT's posted a new behind the scenes of the "mud bath" scene. Go check it out!

Are You Following?

Ladies, raise your hand if you're following Jane and Maura on Facebook and/or Twitter. *waits* Hey, we see hands not raised! If you're not, why aren't you?

Go. Follow! We'll be here when you get back. ;-)

Some Fun Stuff

Go to RizzoliAndIsles.TV to see a larger, crisp, HD version of the Behind-the-Scenes Catwalk promo along with the actual Promo. Then, you can sign up for a text message alert to remind of the premier, not that you ladies need it!

TNT Promo Video from Theaters

The sound quality, as the posters says, leaves much to be desired. However, go watch a movie and see it for yourself because hearing Angie Harmon's voice in surround sound or seeing Sasha Alexander's ... um... walk in the catwalk promo up on the big screen cannot ever be a bad thing. Are we right, ladies?

We Don't Need Another Hero

Ladies, you'll be excited to know that we may actually need another hero, and that hero is - naturally - Jane Rizzoli.

We can't say much, but we can tell you this:

Don't give up hope.

We've been let in on the first episode (possibly the second, we'll let you know), and all we can say is wow. There's a lot going down, but we see some serious story arcs coming at us. The oneliners are still kicking, and our favorite girls have still got it.

By it, of course, we mean subtext.

From the first scene to the very last scene, we see the strong relationship between Jane and Maura has gotten even strong, and we're not complaining in the least about it. We're also in for a treat as we see some interesting character growth with Frankie. Our favorite younger brother is growing up.

When July 11th gets here, we will not be disappointed. But, of course, we never thought we would be!

TNT: They Know Subtext

Spoilers! Episode 9

An inside source tells us:

Episode 9 is titled "Gone Daddy Gone." Maura's dad might be connected with a case, and doesn't want to risk personal interest in the case.
We find this to be very exciting and interesting. It's always fun to see information to indicate more storylines telling us about Maura. We can't wait to see this! (Well, we can hardly wait to see all of it, but you know what we mean. ;-) )

There are a few video games we've played that sort of look like this. Word of advice. If you should run into zombies, run for the shotgun. Trust us on this one.

(check it here)
In the video games, this is the room where the crazy doctor performs his experiments. If you decide to confront him, make certain you've destroyed all the zombies... twice.

(check it here)
We believe Nicki calls this 'living the dream'. Live the dream people. Live. It. ;-)

(check it here)
When the zombies jump at you from around the corner, remember to shoot first and then scream. Screaming first only gives them time to chew on you before you can remember to hit the fire button. Remember this information; it may come in handy one day. One never knows.

Put on a long t-shirt with a shirt clip on it and some workout bands around your heads, and you girls would be rocking it!
